Thursday 16th. April, 2015 Peter and Linda come to visit

I took this picture last week when Tom and I were part of a local congregational review team to Legerwood Church. On the day of the visit I showed a picture of the exterior of the lovely Church but I also took this picture inside of one of the oldest parts of the building. It is quite beautiful and, in fact, we sat in this aisle for our meeting

After our morning walk and a while in the Bothy sorting out our Presbytery’s entry in the new Church of Scotland Year Book, Peter and Linda arrived from Kilmacolm to visit. We went off for lunch to Hugo’s in Duns where I enjoyed an excellent antipasto platter.

In the afternoon we walked around Duns Castle so that Mungo, their Dalmatian puppy of ten months, could have some exercise. Then we returned to Mount Pleasant before setting off to visit Ladykirk and Norham Castle (where we got locked in – captured by the English because of the SNP sticker on my car)!

Having made our escape, we came back to Mount Pleasant where Olive had prepared a banquet for us all and for Ann who had come through because Rachel and she have a kilt-making course tomorrow. Rachel was also back at home having been away at her glass class during the day.

After Peter and Linda set off for home, I watched a bit of the latest debate (I thought that Nicola Sturgeon did extremely well) and then was glad to get to bed because I have an extremely early start tomorrow morning.
